Brownie Bakers

Alison and Lauren starred in their own cooking show. This is a three part series but the other parts are too big to show on a blog. Lauren loves to watch the Food Network with mommy. In fact, we were at the store the other day and Lauren said, "isn't that Ina Garten?" speaking about about a woman who was.... well, looked similar to Ina. Very cute!

the tooth fairy and the crawlers

Bailey is the crawler and Lilly is the jumper. Bailey has discovered life beyond the rug and likes to scoot behind the couch to where Alison and Lauren have their play kitchen and their creative corner. Now nothing is safe from their curious little hands and mouths.
The tooth fairy came this week for Alison's first tooth. She had been wiggling her tooth for a few days and out it came one morning with a little help from mom.
This is our typical scene three times a day.

Watch out here we come!

Aruba Baby!

My mom, my sisters and I ditched all our husbands for a week of R&R in Aruba! We have been planning this trip for a year and saving our pennies. We had an unforgetable time. Thanks to mom for being grandma of the year as she traveled with me, Bailey and Lilly to the island. It was not the easiest trip- we got off the plane and she was covered with baby biscuit mess all over her shirt! However, we had such a great time at the beach, watching chic flicks and playing cards. Trish and I went tubing and screamed and laughed the whole time. It was the best and worst 15 minutes of our lives. Steve did a good job holding down the fort with Alison and Lauren. Also, thanks to all our friends and Papa for helping with Alison and Lauren so mom could go on a vacation. I love you mom, Amy, Jen, Trisha, and Aubs- thanks for the memories. Bailey and Lilly get ready for the sun.

Deer oh deer

Deer have been hanging out in our back yard lately. Recently, the deer have been getting closer and closer. I used my grill as a deer blind (why spend $100s at Cabellas when you can use a grill, right?) while I took this picture with Alison.

Tracy commented afterword, "You see nature and beauty. All I see is Lyme Disease". I think Tracy hurt Bambi's feelings

Pinkalicious

Pink Pink Pink- We had a pink themed party for Birthday girl Lauren who turned four.
Since the theme was pink all her little friends came dressed in pink and we ate a pluthera
of pink food. My sister Trisha would be proud.

Here was the spread of pink foods.

Here I am reading to the girls the Pinkalicious story. Its a classic story about a girl who eats
too many pink cupcakes and then turns pink.

Pink-a-boo!

Happy Birthday Lauren. We love you.

Happy Christmas and New Year!

Alison and I started off the season going to see the Nutcracker. It was
a great mommy-daughter date.

Steve, Bailey and I at our annual neighbor Christmas party.

We had a great visit with Grandma and Papa before and after Christmas. Alison and Lauren were excited to watch a movie on Papa's laptop and get some gum from him. That's becoming a tradition with Papa. Alison informed Lauren a few days ago that "wrestling and gum, that's what papas are for"

Grandma and Papa gave the girls American girl babies with matching PJs. They were thrilled!Alison said she was so happy to have her first American girl. They named their babies Rosie and Emily Elisabeth.

Christmas morning. The babies really enjoyed the bows.

Lilly is in pink and Bailey is in the white with flowers. They love their daddy.

We've had too much Christmas!
Just kidding! It has been a fantastic Christmas. Thanks Aunts, Uncles, friends, Grandmas,Grandpas and Santa for a wonderful Christmas!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Alison worked on her first science fair project this month. Her project was
What Freezes Fastest - plain water, water with sugar, or water with salt. She did a great job (and so did Steve and I since this was our first little science fair project too).
Jen and Conrad came for a visit after Thanksgiving. We had a great time with them. They got to see first hand the craziness of our life with babies crying , diaper changes, and putting up Christmas decorations. Here Conrad and Steve play a Wii boxing game.
After Thanksgiving turkeys went on sale so we decided to make our very own turkey.
This was a first for us since we've always gone over to other people's houses for Thanksgiving (for which we are so grateful). All I can say is thank you Ina Garten- I love your recipes!

We had a great time at Aunt Jeannine's house for an amazing Thanksgiving feast.

Dad's Workout Video?

I thought I saw these books on dad's shelf the other day?

Laverty 411

Here is Steve with the girls. It seems that they like to gang up him and he loves every minute of it.

Dinner time is even more interesting now that we are feeding the babies "real" people food. This picture represents their first experience with a spoon!

So, we have a few baby toys in our house. I tell you every nightit looks like a toy bomb went off in our house and once the kids areall asleep the little mommy and daddy elf just pick it all up and make it looklike nothing ever happened. All I can say is thank goodness for baby gear when you havetwo babies. Lilly and Bailey love their exersaucers.

Recently, Alison and Lauren finished their dance class. This is a videoof their last class when they could show off to their parents all theirnew skills.

One more little pumpkin

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat

This weekend was Halloween. Alison and Lauren were very excited about dressing up and getting candy from complete strangers. We even dressed the two cherubs up and we all went around our neighborhood. Here are a few pictures of our night out.

Steve and the four girls right before going out. Let's see if you can tell which twin is which in these next two pictures...

Giggling Babies

The twins are growing so fast. They are in the giggling phase of life where almost everything you do is funny. Mommy washing the dishes... funny. Alison and Lauren running around the house... funny. Daddy tripping over the bouncy seat for the 100th time... priceless.

We took a video tonight of Alison and Lauren making the girls laugh. This is has been our nightly routine and we all love it.

Here's a picture of the twins in the morning. Can you tell who is who?

Jenny and Conrad's Wedding

My sister Jenny got married in the Boston Temple on October 18th. What a beautiful day it was- the leaves were so colorful and we visited with many dear friends and family. Jenny and Conrad are such a great couple. Jen looked elegant and was the most calm bride I have ever seen. Its great to have a brother-in law like Conrad in the family. After the wedding we went to a wonderful reception where there was dancing and a luncheon. My sister Trisha made their wedding cake- wow- she did an amazing job. Thanks mom and dad and everyone for a great visit.
