School Days

We now have a kindergartener! Alison started school this week and the only difficult part was for me to say good-bye when she got on that school bus. Luckily, she saw two of her church friends on the bus and sat with them going to school. When she came home that first day she gave me the biggest hug and told us all about her wonderful adventures in kindergarten. What a sweet girl. I love this picture- the bag is bigger than her! She loves her Hello Kitty back pack.
Lauren will miss Alison, but she is now a little helper to me with the babies.
There she goes!

More Vineyard pictures

We had a great take-out dinner at Menemsha one night. Here Papa and Grandma hold Bailey.
Steve showed Alison and Lauren how to cast.
The cute engaged couple. My sister Jen and her fiance, Conrad spent a week with us on the island.
Steve, the girls and Grandma and Papa went to the West Tisbury Fair. The big apeal here was the ferris wheel and cotton candy.

Vineyard Fun

Here are some more pictures of our trip on Martha's Vineyard. We had such a great visit with our family. Janette, Steve and the girls going for a sail

Island Fishing

I've been out fishing a couple times since I've been here and haven't seen a thing. The water is really warm and the fish have been out to sea. Conrad, Stewart and I went fishing one morning in Lobsterville from sunrise through the falling tide and didn't see anything. We ended up on the Lobsterville side of the Menemsha jetties. Still no fish. The only thing we did see were some scup and other small fish. We were determined not to get skunked so we tried fishing for scup. Luckily, Conrad brought his tackle box which contained some small hooks and Power Bait. Here are some of the pictures of the mighty fishermen...

Here I am with the first fish of the day. It was one of those moments when you ask yourself, "what have I become?" I used Power Bait in Menemsha.

Here is Conrad (Jenny's fiance') with his prize catch for the smallest fish of the day.

Stewart caught the most fish.

While Stewart was catching all of the monster fish on the Jetty, Conrad decided to try Power Bait on his Broken Back Rebel.
While the three of us were fishing for these tiny fish, a group of three people came to fish with us. They asked how the fishing was going and I said that there was nothing but these tiny scup. They replied "That's great! That's what we came for!" and they joined the party.

Summer on the Island

It has been a great week on the Island. Here are a few pictures showing what we've been up to.

Alison and Lauren in Menemsha. We got take-out at the Home Port and ate it on the beach.

Alison and Lauren racing in Ocean Park. This is one of the races before the infamous video shown in our last blog entry.

Alsion and Lauren love swinging in the hammock.

Here I am holding Bailey and rocking Lilly in the bouncy seat. I fell asleep doing this and Tracy took a picture of it. I was still bouncing Lilly though.

Janette came over and Alison, Lauren, Netty and I went for a sail.

Baby Blessing

Here are Bailey and Lilly hanging out together. They are now two
months and over ten pounds each. They are both so healthy and
pretty content babies.

Steve recently gave them a Baby blessing in church. Here the

babies are wearing their blessing gowns and Alison and Lauren looking

so proud.

Lilly and Bailey in their blessing gowns.
One of my favorite things to do is dress these babies in either

matching outfits or coordinating outfits. I can't help myself- its so

cute to see them in these clothes.

Turning 30!

Welcome to the 30's. Steve and I recently turned 30.
Crazy! But, very appropriate seeing as how we now have
four little girls.

Steve's big gift was a Nintendo Wii. He loves it and so do the girls.

Alison is really a great bowler. Lately, after the evening feeding Steve

calms a baby down by holding her in one arm and playing a game

with his other.
